EXPERTS CONCLUDE "There is plenty of front headroom, and we've found the front seats to be comfortable. Firm, supportive seats and a slightly higher driving position make the Legacy Subaru's most comfortable sedan yet." -Edmunds.com.

I have owned 24 new cars and many used in my life and this one ranks on top. First Subaru we have owned, liked it so much sold a 2014 Acura RDX to buy a new 2018 Cross Trek, now a 2 Subaru home, my daughter also bought a 2018 Subaru Cross Trek. These Subarus are truly amazing cars, my wife was the one that wanted a Subaru and got the ball rolling.…
The longest I've ever had the same car

I got this car used when it had 52,900 miles. I got the frost metallic silver color, and the car was in beautiful condition when I got it. I got this car in June 2018 and it's now October 2019, so I've had it for a little over a year. It's got a great interior, comfortable seats, and is very good for tall people (I'm 6'2.") It has great legroom in the back as well and have never had a complaint from people in the back. The only thing I've ever had to do was oil changes, and I've never had the check engine light come on (knock on wood.) My main complaint is that the 2.5 is slow, the cvt does a good job of handling the power, however, it lags sometimes. I'll put the pedal down, and sometimes it takes a few seconds for the transmission to do anything. The car is responsive, but I wouldn't call it fun to drive. It always feels secure tho, as a Subaru should. Reviewers have said the car looks boring, but I love the look of it. It's aging like fine wine. If you're in the market for an AWD sedan, I'd give this car a look.…
Switched from a 2012 Toyota Camry to 2017 Legacy

I owned a 2012 Carmy for almost 5 years. I drive almost 110 miles a day to and from work. I have owned at least 50 cars in search of the perfect car. I now realize there is no such thing... but the Carmy was the closet I have ever came to the best practical car I have ever owned. Tires and gas are the only thing I have ever needed on the Carmy. I was getting almost 32-34 miles per gal. and was totally happy. I changed the oil religiously and never had a problem.
I decided to sell my pickup because I never drove it and get a car with good gas mileage, safety, reliability, and all wheel drive. I can be honest there was not much out there. The Legacy was the only 4 door sedan to fit this bill.
There were some crossovers that met this criteria but we already have a CRV so I went for the Legacy sedan.
I sold my Carmy for 7500 and paid 17500 for a 2017 Legacy with 24,000 miles. Now for the differences I noticed.
The Carmy had a lot more pep with the 4cyl compared to the boxster engine in the Legacy. You hit the gas and it makes noise and eventually in its own sweet time it would get you there. I have my reservations about passing tractors on country roads. The Carmy wins in this area.
The ride and seats are much more comfortable in the Carmy, The body is more stylish than the Legacy. But I have no regrets, I feel much safer with the Legacy, It goes like a tank in the snow, 31 miles per gallon, and reliability is comprisable thus far.
Bottom line I am happy with my decision... But if Carmy comes out with an all wheel drive model I may have to rethink things all over again.…
